Community Service

The Wayne State College chapter of Delta Sigma Pi is proud of our ability to maintain an active and helpful presence in our community. Whether making a difference on campus, or off, our members are eager to be a pillar of service and support in our community.

Past community service events have included:

  • Sponsoring holiday-themed crafts at Brookdale Senior Living
  • Sorting donations and cleaning at the Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska
  • Participating in the Adopt a Highway program
  • Donating professional clothing to the Wildcat Career Closet
  • Stocking shelves at the Wayne State College Student Food Pantry
  • Spreading awareness and support for those struggling with mental illness
  • Donating gently used clothing to Micah's Closet
  • Sending homemade Valentine's Day cards to local nursing homes
  • Packaging bags of food for Mercy Meals
  • Creating tie blankets for Orphan Grain Train
  • Donating pop tabs, food, and supplies to Ronald McDonald House Charities
  • Donating canned goods to local food pantries
  • Sending "thank you" letters to troops, veterans and first responders through Operation Gratitude
  • Hauling storage and moving furniture for Haven House
