Community Service
The Wayne State College chapter of Delta Sigma Pi is proud of our ability to maintain an active and helpful presence in our community. Whether making a difference on campus, or off, our members are eager to be a pillar of service and support in our community.
Past community service events have included:
- Sponsoring holiday-themed crafts at Brookdale Senior Living
- Sorting donations and cleaning at the Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska
- Participating in the Adopt a Highway program
- Donating professional clothing to the Wildcat Career Closet
- Stocking shelves at the Wayne State College Student Food Pantry
- Spreading awareness and support for those struggling with mental illness
- Donating gently used clothing to Micah's Closet
- Sending homemade Valentine's Day cards to local nursing homes
- Packaging bags of food for Mercy Meals
- Creating tie blankets for Orphan Grain Train
- Donating pop tabs, food, and supplies to Ronald McDonald House Charities
- Donating canned goods to local food pantries
- Sending "thank you" letters to troops, veterans and first responders through Operation Gratitude
- Hauling storage and moving furniture for Haven House
